How it started
We started Triple SSS to do the kind of work we’d want done on our own homes, and to treat the people who live in them the way we’d want our own parents treated.
A family business, built on faith.
Triple SSS Construction has been licensed in Oregon since April 2017. It is owned and run by Shawn Herbst, who still walks every job, writes every estimate and answers his own phone.

How we work
That is still the whole idea. A clear, written bid. A crew that shows up when it said it would, keeps the site clean, and asks before it guesses. Calls and emails returned. And when something behind the wall turns out to be worse than it looked, you hear about it straight away, with options, before anything changes on the bill.
03
Who calls us
Most of our work comes from neighbours, repeat customers and their friends. Homeowners in Gresham, Portland and the towns around them call us for the big exterior jobs, like a new roof, siding or windows, and for the smaller jobs too: a sticking door, a rotted sill, grab bars for a parent who wants to stay at home.

We had a fairly significant structural issue in the attic above our garage. Shawn performed a complete reconstruction to not only restore the roof to the original slope but he designed a new truss system that provided safe and efficient storage. His calculations were so precise that the gutters remained in place. He matched the new roofing to the existing and it looks outstanding.
We just had part of our fence and gate replaced and it looks awesome now. Shawn came out and went over every detail with us before they started the work. We had some concerns which he listened to and offered solutions. The workmanship is excellent and the quality was even better! Thank you Shawn, Marty and Rob!
Working with Shawn and Triple SSS was awesome! They are professional, courteous, on-time, and most importantly communicative in a way that I believe to be rare in contractors. My house finally feels like my home thanks to these guys!
Triple SSS Construction helped us with a couple of projects at our home to make it easier for us to age in place here. Shawn and his crew did excellent work, kept the work area clean and were respectful of our situation. We received a clear and inclusive bid within a reasonable time and the work was completed by the expected finish date.
Shawn replaced our dining room window and put in a sliding glass door so we could access our backyard patio. Anytime we need something done at our house we always call Shawn because he is dependable, a hard worker, and he knows his craft.
Shawn replaced and installed our entry door and a fire door within a larger basement remodel. Shawn provided valuable construction input at the get go, secured all applicable permits, was responsive to emails, and persistent to the tasks. Jobs well done.
